Senior Interior Designer
The Senior Interior Designer will lead their own residential design projects with the guidance of the Principal from concept through completion.
Primary responsibilities include:

Lead and manage multiple projects at the same time

Team lead on their own residential design projects including initial consults, site measures/ documentation, conceptual & schematic design, space planning, design development, & construction documentation to ensure deadlines & client requirements & expectations are met

Own and manages drafting from concept through permitting/ build-set

Communicates regularly with internal staff, clients, & vendors

In collaboration with the Principal, leads the procurement of all interior finish materials, FF&E, & presentation documentation for Client meetings

Conduct Client meetings from concepts, to job site visits and installation.

Work with and cultivate relationships with external consultants, vendors, reps, and fabricators.

Manage and mentor the design team throughout the design process to ensure accuracy as well as professional growth from redlining to day-to-day feedback.
This is a growing design firm with unlimited growth potential for its team members. This position is full-time, hourly, 40 hours per week. Compensation for this position depends on experience (DOE).

The ideal candidate is a team player who possesses a sophisticated eye for design and willingness to contribute creatively for a wide variety of residential design projects. Additionally, we are looking for an ambitious self-starter willing to take initiative within a diverse range of projects operating in a fast-paced environment.

7-10+ years of applicable work experience

Bachelors’ or Masters Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or related field from an accredited school

Strong leadership and relationship-management skills

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong interpersonal communication skills with internal staff, clients, & vendors

Strong ability to compose design solutions

Extremely detail oriented and accurate in all deliverables

Excellent communication skills; verbal, non-verbal, written, and visual graphics communication skills to communicate design ideas

Passionate about design details, big or small

Knowledge of local building codes a must

Knowledge of permit process a must

A real team player

Strong knowledge of FF&E sourcing (showrooms and other design resources), specifications, and ordering process

Expert in time-management over multiple simultaneous tasks, projects, and Clients
-
Proficient in AutoCAD; VectorWorks a plus but not required
-
Working knowledge of Studio Designer a plus

Proficient in Photoshop, Google Docs/Sheets/Slides, Mac OS a plus

Having a good sense of humor is a must
